Volleyball: My Favorite Sport

I want to share about my experience in playing volleyball. So, I got interested in playing volleyball when I was 8 years old because my mother and my aunties are volleyball player. My mother and their friends teach me how to play volleyball. When I was in grade 4, me and my cousin join the volleyball team in our school and in that year it was the first time we play volleyball for our school. I was so nervous that time because I think that I will make a mistake for our team to lose the game. Fortunately. we are the champion in volleyball girls and me and my cousin was so happy that we won. After the awarding, our coach make an announcement about the players who will compete in Provincial Meet and I was so shock that I was chosen to compete on Provincial Meet because I just a newbie in our volleyball team. Unfortunately, we lose the game but it was a great experience for me. And that time I think that I still need an improved in playing volleyball.

After a year, I improved a lot in playing volleyball, I have learned on how to receive properly and I also learned on how to set the ball. And then our trainor assigned me to became the setter of our team. We are the champion again in Municipal Meet and our coach said that I was going to play in NCSU Meet. Our preparations in NCSU Meet was hard but we are having fun while we are practicing. The NCSU Meet was held in Imus and we lose the game because our opponents are stronger than us. But despite of that, our Captain ball was chosen to play in the Provincial Meet.

This picture was taken when I was in grade 6, and that time I became the captain ball of our team. As you can see in the picture that we won again and we also got another award, it was Overall Champion because our school got the most wins in all kind of sports. After the awarding our coach announce the 6 player who will play in NCSU Meet and I was one of them. The NCSU Meet was held in Noveleta and sadly we just got the 2nd place and the Rosario are the Champion. Me and my cousin got chosen in Provincial Meet to play with my other two team mates. Our training in Rosario was so hard that we can’t sit anymore because our legs was hurting and I can’t sleep properly because my body was aching. After 2 weeks of training, I got sick so my mother bring me to the hospital to see what was the problem in my health and after 5 minutes, the doctor said the result. She said that I have UTI and there’s another one I think it was called Acid Reflux. And she also give me a medicine and when I taste it, that taste of that medicine was sucks. I was also having a difficulty to eat because the doctor said that I can’t eat spicy, sweet, sour and salty foods and that I should only eat plain foods like sky flakes. But despite that I still continue the training.

The Provincial Meet was held in Tagaytay and it was so very cold even in the morning. And it was very creepy on the school we slept on because there was a forest nearby the school. It was hard to wash the clothes there because the rest room on that school was limited and we also having a hard time on waking up early in the morning to exercise before our game. I remembered that we walk for about 1 to 2 kilometer in the parade. We only have 1 win and I remembered the night when our trainor got angry on us because we lose. He said that we can defeat our opponent and he also said that we should improved our communication inside the court. Despite of that, we are still happy for the great experience.

Here are the photos we take during our stay in Tagaytay.
